Translation Memory (TM)

A translation memory is an essential linguistic tool for any localization project. Every translation we take care of for you is stored and maintained in your dedicated translation memory, which ensures consistency and continuity regarding diction and tone of voice. Previous translations can be added to the TM, provided they are delivered with the corresponding source text. The TM works in tandem with the term base to increase the quality and speed of the translation.

Machine Translation (MT)

Machine translation is an area of significant ongoing development, and we can happily advise you on the do’s and don’ts, such as pairing machine translation with the right type of content or choosing the right engine for the job. In some cases, you can rely on machine translation as a quick and cheaper solution; in other cases, it can have far-reaching disastrous consequences. The Attached team will help you get the best possible output from the machine translation tool and identify if human post-editing (MTPE) or other follow-up steps are needed still.

Application Programming Interface (API)

Attached can help simplify your global multi-channel content with the introduction of APIs into your translation workflow. We make the translation process of your content smooth, fast, scalable and secure. APIs directly connect your content to our software for simultaneous and on-demand solutions. This allows for greater efficiency and speeds up your Time to Market. APIs can be applied to all types of ‘living’ content, such as websites, e-commerce, e-learning, procurement and many other applications and platforms in any industry.

Term Base (TB)

Based on your official inhouse glossary, we will guide the process of setting up an official term base. The TB automatically flags any validated or forbidden words, terms or phrases during the translation process and hence ensures an even higher level of consistency for all your chosen languages. This powerful tool is used in conjunction with your translation memory. If an inhouse glossary is not available, we can assist in the creation of one.

Desktop Publishing (DTP)

Our desktop publishing (DTP) service allows you to have your text directly translated in your native-format design file, such as InDesign, without touching any of the formatting. This saves time and unintended errors since it eliminates the need to manually copy-paste all translated copy. It also lets us instantly see if the translation will fit into the design, and if not, come up with a fitting solution. There is a good chance we can translate directly into your formatting program. Just contact us to discuss the options.

Client Portal

Our client portal is a centralized hub that enables your team members to request quotes and start translation projects directly by just uploading the source document and selecting the desired language combinations. Details from projects started through the client portal or the CMS connector are visible in the portal. The client portal also provides an overview of open projects, invoices and real-time reports and analytics. Feedback can also be shared through the client portal. We offer this tool free of charge to all our clients.

Content Management System (CMS) connectors

The strong combination of security, speed, workload ease and error/risk reduction is the main reason we advise our clients to use CMS connectors in their translation workflows. We offer off-the-shelf connectors for several well-known content management systems (CMS) such as Tridion and WordPress, as well as integrations with development tools like Jenkins. These all share a setup where content is taken from the website CMS repository and automatically returned to it after translation. They are flexible which ensures that we can configure the optimum setup for your specific situation.

Workflow Optimization

Workflow optimization takes the complexity out of your localization process leading to proper content management and possible savings in time and money. Attached has ample experience in streamlining your localization workflows. Examples of customized, optimized workflows could be related to integrating your inhouse review process or selecting an e-marketplace workflow with built-in MT functionality. Your optimized workflows are then linked to your client portal so you can select them yourself.
